Charlie Robinson, Juanita Jennings, et al. Set for South Coast Rep’s Fences

Charlie Robinson will star as Troy Maxson and Juanita Jennings will play Rose Maxson in South Coast Repertory‘s production of August Wilson’s Fences, to run January 22 – February 21. Seret Scott will direct.
Wilson’s play focuses on a garbage collector who once played baseball in the Negro League, who is determined to protect his children from the disappointments he has suffered. The company will also feature Larry Bates (Cory), Gregg Daniel (Bono), Brandon J. Dirden (Lyons), Baron Kelly (Gabe) and, in alternating performances, Skye Whitebear and Sofya Ogunseitan (Raynell).
The creative team will include Shaun Motley (scenic design), Dana Rebecca Woods (costume design), Peter Maradudin (lighting design), and Jim Ragland (sound design).
