The Actors’ Gang has announced the casting for The Trial of the Catonsville Nine, to run February 14-March 21. Jon Kellam will direct.

On May 17, 1968, two Catholic priests, and seven Catholic activists walked into the selective service office Local Board 33 and burned hundreds of 1-A draft files in protest against U.S. involvement in Vietnam. Daniel Berrigan’s free-verse dramatization is based on the actual records of the trial in which he and eight other defendants were convicted. The group of nine were sentenced to a collective 18-20 years in prison for a crime that caused a little more than $100 in damage.

The cast will feature Cameron Dye, Scott Harris, Ethan Kogan, Corey G. Lovett, Adele Robbins, Chris Schultz, Robert Shampain, Patti Tippo, Andrew E. Wheeler, and Paige Lindsey White. This production will feature costumes by Susan Dalian, lighting by Jacqueline Reid, sound by David Robbins, and sets by Sibyl Wickersheimer.
