Getty’s 'Helen' Was the Toast of 1963 Tinseltown

A look into Getty Villa's production of 'Helen'
From the article:
"Consider this: Helen of Sparta did not ignite the infamous Trojan War by running away with Paris of Troy and betraying her husband King Menelaos. The most beautiful woman in the world wasn't even there. The gods exiled her to Egypt and then replaced the Queen with an eidolon or phantom replica. The real Helen languished incommunicado on the island of Pharos for 17 years, waiting for rescue and a return to her former life. Does it sound like an all-too-familiar Hollywood fate? "
