For Mrs. Carrie Watts, home is not the tiny Houston apartment she shares with her son and daughter-in-law. Home is the small farming town of Bountiful where she grew up, where she can feel the breeze from the Gulf and see birds soar across the sky. Made desperate by yearning, Carrie sets out alone on a courageous journey to Bountiful. Horton Foote's The Trip to Bountiful is a moving play about family, old age and living with dignity and strength.
