The release of "Tom Dooley" in 1958 began the "folk music revival" and set the stage for Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Peter, Paul & Mary and the entire folk movement of the '60s. Their dozens of hits including "A Worried Man," "M.T.A.," "Where Have All the Flowers Gone" and "500 Miles" brought the trio to meteoric success, unprecedented record sales and worldwide fame. Although the group's personnel has changed over the years, the Kingston Trio continues to bring the rich tradition of American folk music into pop culture.
