Man of La Mancha. Music by Mitch Leigh, Book by Joe Lardon, Libretto by Dale Wasserman.
The poignant story of a dying old man who finds himself both a prisoner of the Spanish Inquisition and his own mind. In his dreams, Cervantes is the knight-errant Don Quixote, accompanied by his servant Sancho. The tale is a romantic and noble journey of a knight who sets out to right all wrongs and win the heart of a good woman as he duels windmills along the way. Man of La Mancha is the classic comic tragedy of man's struggle against all odds to dream "The Impossible Dream."
