WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
The Jeanne Rimsky Theater at Landmark on Main Street rings in the Chinese New Year - the Year of the Pig - with dancing, live theatre, and drummers.
Internationally known China born dancer, Yin Mei will amaze you as she performs the visual intricacies of ribbon dancing. Chinese Theatre Works will perform excerpts from the Peking Opera classic "Journey in the West" the "Monkey King Steals the Heavenly Peaches" complete with the traditional face-painting and costumes. Finally the Manhattan Taiko Drummers will display this art form that goes back two thousand years.
Join the Jeanne Rimsky Theater at Landmark on Main Street to celebrate the Chinese New Year with the whole family - a great afternoon of fun, culture, music and dancing.
