The John W. Engeman Theater Announces Cast and Creative Team for Memphis

Carson Higgins and Breanna Bartley will star in the Igor Goldin-directed production.

The John W. Engeman Theater at Northport has announced the cast and creative team for its upcoming production of the Tony Award-winning Best Musical Memphis. The show will begin performances on March 24 and will run through May 8. Igor Goldin will direct, with choreography by Antoinette DePietropolo and musical direction by James Olmstead.

Inspired by true events from the underground dance clubs of 1950s Memphi, Tennessee, Memphis tells the story of a radio DJ who wants to change the world and a club singer who is ready for her big break. The musical features a Tony-winning book by Joe DiPietro and a Tony-winning score with music by Bon Jovi founding member David Bryan.

The cast of Memphis features Carson Higgins as Huey Calhoun and Breanna Bartley as Felicia Farrell as well as Jared Bedgood (Gator), C. Mingo Long (Delray), Kathryn Markey (Gladys), David McDonald (Mr. Simmons), and Arthur L. Ross (Bobby). The ensemble will include Tony Chiofalo, Jessica Crilley, Marissa Girgus, Tatiana Green, Chavon Hampton, Jenny L. Harvey, Brandon Heyward, Michal Kolaczkoskiz, Katie Lombardo, Suzanne Mason, Ivory Mckay, Chris Medlin, Brandon Riddle, and Alec Varcas.

The creative team will also include DT Willis (scenic design), Tristan Raines (costume design), Cory Pattak (lighting design), Laura Shubert (sound design), Leah Loukas (hair & wig design), and Kristie Moschetta (props design).
