Christina Corsaro, Chris Brady to Star in Engeman Theater’s Sleeping Beauty

Christina Corsaro and Chris Brady will star as Briar Rose (aka Sleeping Beauty) and Prince Owain in the John W. Engeman Theater’s production of Sleeping Beauty, to be performed Saturdays at 11am and Sundays at 10am at the Northport, New York-based theater, October 3-31. Vic DiMonda will direct and choreograph the production.

The family friendly show is a rustic fairy tale in the Brothers Grimm tradition that tells the story of good and evil witches vying for power; a childless King and Queen that want nothing more than to have a family; a princess that is protected by a surly half-human/half dragon that watches over her; and Forrest Fairies that lead a lost Prince to his Sleeping Beauty.

The cast will also include Jennifer Collister-Tully (the evil witch Modron); Doreen Firestone (The good witch Branwen); Donnalynn Maggio (Queen Guinevere); Josh Rothberg (King Peredur); and Evan Schultz (The half drago Gryff).

The creative team will include Jennifer Collester-Tully and Doreen Firestone (musical direction), Jillian Coratti (costume designer), and Sonoka Fukuma-Gozelski (set and props designer).
