Comedian Robert Klein to Perform Stand-Up at Bay Street Theatre

Robert Klein returns to the Comedy Club stage at Sag Harbor's Bay Street Theater for a performance on Monday, August 18.

Klein's comedy career spans over 40 years, in addition to his long list of Broadway, television, and film roles. His past Broadway credits include The Apple Tree, The Sisters Rosensweig, and They're Playing Our Song, for which he earned a Tony nomination in 1979. He also earned two Grammy nominations for "Best Comedy Album of the Year" for his albums Child of the Fifties and Mind over Matter.

Susie Essman will be next to take the Comedy Club stage, with a performance scheduled for Monday, August 25. Essman is best known for portraying Susie Greene for all seven seasons of the HBO comedy series Curb Your Enthusiasm. A stand-up comedian for 25 years, Essman also appeared in her own half-hour HBO comedy special and made numerous appearances on shows including Late Night with Conan O'Brien, The View, and Crank Yankers.
