The event will include a screening of Clayton Robey's documentary Making of the Boys, a behind-the-scenes look at the movie The Boys in the Band which blends never-before-seen archival footage with interviews with the show's author, Mart Crowley, as well as Edward Albee, Paul Rudnick, Terrence McNally, Larry Kramer and others. In addition, Ramirez will perform a song in honor of the 40th anniversary of the Stonewall riots. VIP ticket purchasers will head to Robey's home after the benefit, where Ramirez and some friends will give a special musical performance and cocktails and a light fare will be served.
Ramirez won the Tony for portraying The Lady of the Lake in Monty Python's Spamalot and also appeared on Broadway in The Gershwins' Fascinatin' Rhythm and The Capeman. She currently stars on the hit ABC-TV series Grey's Anatomy.
