Andrea Burns, Josh Davis, Jessica Grove, Thomas M. Hammond et al. Set for Engeman’s Guys and Dolls

The John W. Engeman Theater has announced casting for its production of Guys and Dolls, to run April 14-June 19, with an opening on April 16. Peter Flynn will direct.

The musical is based on a story by Damon Runyon, and features music and lyrics by Frank Loesser and book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows. The score includes such classic songs as “Luck Be A Lady,” “If I Were A Bell,” “Adelaide’s Lament,” “A Bushel and a Peck,” and “Sit Down You’re Rockin’ The Boat.”

The cast will be led by Andrea Burns (Miss Adelaide), Thomas M. Hammond (Nathan Detroit), Josh Davis (Sky Masterson), and Jessica Grove (Sarah Brown), and feature Ken Jennings (Arvide Abernathy), Wayne W. Pretlow (Nicely-Nicely Johnson), Philip Hoffman (Benny Southstreet), Joe Coots (Big Jule), and Barbara Tirrell (General Matilda B. Cartwright).

The cast will also include Lindsey Clayton (Mimi), Don Kenneth Mason (Rusty Charlie), Michelle O’Bryan (Martha), Ariana Valdes (Agatha), and Stephen Valenti (Lt. Brannigan). The Hot Box Girls include Willow Grey, Janelle Neal, and Erika Odegard, while the Gamblers include Peter Carrier, Bryan Cortes, Michael Fatica, Brody Hessin, and Kevin Kelly.

The production team will include Marcos Santana (choreographer), Kim Douglas Steiner (musical director/arranger), Adam Koch (scenic designer), Wade Laboissinniere (costume designer), Cory Pattak (lighting designer), and Katherine Miller (sound designer).
