Eddie Mekka, Megan Thomas, Barbara Tirrell, et al. to Star in Fiddler on the Roof at Engeman Theater

Eddie Mekka will star as Tevye in the John W. Engeman Theater’s production of Fiddler on the Roof, to run April 29 – June 20. BT McNicholl will direct the production, which will feature musical direction by Mike Pettry.

Best known to television audiences as Carmine Ragusa on the classic sitcom Laverne & Shirley, Mekka has played the role of Tevye previously in regional theaters across the country. Among his many other stage credits are The Lieutenant, The Magic Show, Jumpers, Hairspray, and The Goodbye Girl.

The company will also feature Megan Thomas (Golde), Barbara Tirrell (Yente), Erick Devine (Lazar Wolf), Jodie Langel (Tzeitel), Kraig Swartz (Motel), Allison Walla (Hodel), Andy Kelso (Perchik), Lilly Tobin (Chava), Ben Gunderson (Fyedka), along with Chris Brady, Joel Briel, Cara Buschi, Stephen Cerf, Andrew Eckert, Danny Gorman, Gordon Gray, Holly Greenberg, Brody Hessin, Robert Kalman, Birdie Newman Katz, Matthew Naclerio, Bruce Rebold, Shoshanna Richman, Scott Saperstein, Mark J. Scherer, Stephen Valenti, Ian Buchman, Salvatore Casto, Alyssa Cavallaro, Dylan Sage Perles, Zoe Kaya Perles, Austin Pogrob, Larry Saperstein, Carly Tamer.

The creative team will include Court Watson (scenic design), Tricia Barsamian (costume coordinator), Richard Latta (lighting design), and Craig Kaufman (sound design).
