Alec Baldwin, Kathleen Chalfant, Melissa Errico, Cheyenne Jackson, Steve Martin, Colin Quinn, et al. Set for Guild Hall’s Spring/Summer Season

Guild Hall has announced its spring and summer season.


As previously announced, the season will include a three-week engagement of Colin’ Quinn’s Long Story Short, to run June 8-26.

Other highlights include a performance by Steve Martin and The Steep Canyon Rangers (July 2), Strike Up the Band (July 3), a concert of patriotic Broadway songs featuring Judy Blazer and Eric Michael Gillett, and an appearance by Justin Vivian Bond (July 30). Additional concert performances will be by Liz Callaway (August 13), Christine Andreas, performing Two for the Road (August 20), and Cheyenne Jackson (September 4).

The schedule includes a one-night-only performance of Jan Buckaloo’s look at two strangers brought together in Turkey on the eve of American and coalition forces invasion of Iraq, In Mustafa’s Garden (April 12), featuring Kathleen Chalfant and Sloane Shelton.

Also on tap are readings of Charles Busch’s The Tale of the Allergist’s Wife (April 26), and Peter Shaffer’s The Gift of the Gorgon (July 8), featuring Alec Baldwin, Melissa Errico, and Sam Underwood, directed by Tony Walton.

The theater will also offer screenings of the HD film versions of Roundabout Theatre Company’s The Importance of Being Earnest (June 2) and of the National Theater’s The Cherry Orchard (July 7), as well as ongoing presentations of The Met Live in HD series, including Rossini’s Le Comte Ory (April 9), Strauss’ Capriccio (April 23), Verdi’s Il Travatore (April 30), and Wagner’s Die Walküre (May 14).
