Bay Street Theatre Announces 2005 Mainstage Season

The Bay Street Theatre in Sag Harbor, New York has announced its 2005 Target Mainstage Season. Running from May 24 through August 28, it will include the American premiere of Simon Gray’s Japes; a revival of S.N. Behrman’s No Time For Comedy; Anthony Shaffer’s Tony Award-winning thriller Sleuth; and Mary Chase’s Pulitzer Prize-winning comedy Harvey.

“We’re really very excited about what we have planned,” stated Sybil Christopher, the company’s co-founder and producing director. Says Simon Gray, “Of all my plays, Japes is the closest to my heart. I am thrilled that there is to be an American production and particularly thrilled that it’s to be at Bay Street.”

The season is made possible through the underwriting of Target Corporation. Subscription ticket packages, single tickets, and FlexPasses are available through the Bay Street Theatre box office beginning March 1. Tickets can be purchased online at www.baystreet.org, by calling 631-725-9500, or in person at the box office (located in the theater at the corner of Bay and Main streets in Sag Harbor).
