Kate Fahrner, Adam Greer, Jon Peterson, Lori Wilner et al. Set for Engeman’s Cabaret

Casting has been announced for The John W. Engeman Theater’s production of the musical Cabaret, to run February 3-March 27, with an opening on February 5. This production is based on the 1998 Broadway revival choreographed and co-directed by Rob Marshall and directed by Sam Mendes. BT McNicholl will be at the helm of Engeman’s production.

Set in 1931 Berlin, Cabaret takes place in and around the seedy Kit Kat Klub. Clifford Bradshaw, a young, American writer, comes to the city in the hopes of finding inspiration — and does in Sally Bowles, a young, English cabaret performer. They fall in love, but their joy is short-lived as the growing influence of the Nazi party begins to infect every aspect of life in Berlin.

The principal cast will include Kate Fahrner (Sally Bowles), Adam Greer (Clifford Bradshaw), Jon Peterson (Emcee), Scott Robertson (Herr Schultz), Lori Wilner (Fraulein Schneider), Fred Rose (Ernst Ludwig), and Laura Shoop (Fraulein Kost).

The cast will also include Tammaso Antico (Victor), Richard Costa (Hans), Eric Jetner (Bobby), Michael Murnoch (Herman, Max), Shana Mahoney (Texas), Kelly Paredes (Helga), Christina Pawl (Rosie), Virginie Perier (Frenchie), Audrey Sennesse (Lulu), Andrea Christine Leigh (Ensemble, Gorilla), and Andrew Leggieri (Ensemble).

The creative team will include Bruce Barnes (musical director), Court Watson (scenic designer), Gail Baldoni (costume designer), Richard Latta (lighting designer), and Craig Kaufman (sound designer).
