About This Venue
 Opening in 1982, the Barbican Theatre is the London home of the Royal Shakespeare Company and the London Symphony Orchestra. The Barbican is a member of the Society of London Theatre. £1.9 million was spent during 1997 to improve the space, allowing opera and dance to be better performed here.
