Synopsis

Working-class northerner Sam had no problem coming out as gay to his parents. But coming out as a Tory? "Dad, I think you'd better sit down."

National Youth Theatre presents Tory Boyz, a bold and acerbic political comedy drama that shines a light on the hidden faces behind the Conservative party. Peopled by young, exciting men and women who don't exactly fit with the stereotype, the play confronts questions over the party seen traditionally by the liberal left as intolerant and prejudice, yet whose leader's voting record on equal rights surpasses the Labour Prime Ministers, and who's intake of homosexual MP's and Councillors is unrivaled.
