WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Guys and Dolls, the quintessential Broadway musical, is based on Damon Runyon's tales of the New York underworld. Featuring a score by Frank Loesser, it brings to life the Broadway of the 1940's, inhabited by gamblers, nightclub performers and members of the Salvation Army in search of sinners to cure. Musical numbers include "Sit Down You're Rocking The Boat," "Luck Be a Lady Tonight" and "Take Back Your Mink."
The creative team is Michael Grandage directing, with Christopher Oram as designer; Rob Ashford as choreographer; Howard Harrison as lighting designer; Jae Alexander as musical director; and Terry Jardine as sound designer.
