Josh Groban will host the concert BBC Radio 2 Celebrates the Music of Disney, to be presented Monday, December 8 at London's Lyceum Theatre. The program will air as a Christmas special edition of Friday Night Is Music Night on December 26.

The concert will feature some of Broadway and the West End's biggest stars performing Oscar, Grammy, and Tony Award-winning music spanning over 65 years of the Disney songbook. In addition to his hosting duties, Groban will perform "When You Wish Upon a Star" (from Pinocchio) as the concert's finale. Recently discovered in the Disney archives, this will be the first time that the full concert orchestration has been performed outside of the recording for the film in 1939.

In addition to a 70-piece BBC Concert Orchestra, performers will include Ashley Brown, Tituss Burgess, Kerry Butler, Maria Friedman, Heather Headley, Adam Pascal, Matt Rawle, Drew Sarich, and the West End company of The Lion King performing concert versions of "Circle of Life and "One by One."

As previously announced, the cast of The Lion King will also participate in the annual Royal Variety Performance, performing live in front of the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall at the 80th anniversary charity gala, which takes place at the West End's London Palladium on December 11. The concert will be broadcast on BBC One later in the month.
