Jez Butterworth's Jerusalem was named Best Play, the Open Air Theatre's revival of Hello, Dolly! won the Ned Sherrin Award for Best Musical, while acting honors went to Mark Rylance for Jerusalem and Rachel Weisz for A Streetcar Named Desire. Rupert Goold was named Best Director for Enron.
In addition, Sir Ian McKellen received a special award for his contribution to British theater.
