Jeremy Irons, Deep Purple, et al. Set for Sunflower Jam Charity Concert

Stage and screen star Jeremy Irons will serve as the Master of Ceremonies at the Sunflower Jam Charity Concert, to be held in London’s Royal Albert Hall on July 8.

The legendary heavy rock and roll band Deep Purple will headline the event, which will also feature an eclectic array of stars such as Joe Bonamassa, Newton Faulkner and
Rick Wakeman.

Irons’ many stage credits include The Real Thing, for which he won the Tony Award, The Winter’s Tale, Richard II, Never So Good, Embers, Impressionism, and A Little Night Music. He most recently appeared in Irish Repertory Theatre’s benefit concert performance of Camelot. The actor won an Academy Award for his performance in Reversal of Fortune and the Emmy Award for Elizabeth I. His many other film and television credits include Being Julia, Appaloosa, The Merchant of Venice, and Brideshead Revisted, as well as Showtime’s current series, The Borgias

The event will benefit the Sunflower Jam Charity.
