Hampstead Theatre has announced its schedule for its autumn/winter season, which will be comprised of four premieres, according to a report on Whatsonstage.com.

The schedule begins with Steve Thompson’s No Naughty Bits (September 8 – October 15). Directed by Edward Hall, the play reimagines the real-life trials of Monty Python’ s Terry Gilliam and Michael Palin as they take on the American television networks and courts in defense of English humor after all the rude bits were cut out of the Monty Python series when it was first broadcast in the US.

In addition, Richard Eyre will direct Nicholas Wright’s adaptation of Caroline Blackwood’s book about the final days of Wallace Simpson, The Last of the Duchess (October 20 – November 26), Katie Mitchell is scheduled to stage Simon Stephens’ The Trial of Ubu, which revisits Alfred Jarry’s classic, and Roger Michell will stage Richard Nelson’s theatrical portrait of theatre artist Harley Granville Barker, Farewell to the Theatre (March 1 – April 7).

Rounding out the Hampstead schedule will be Beasts and Beauties (December 1 – January 7), a retelling of eight grisly stories suitable for children eight years and up, to be directed by Melly Still.
