Chicago's Steppenwolf Theatre Company returns to the Barbican with One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. Steppenwolf co-founder, Gary Sinise stars as McMurphy, a brash new inmate who tries to disrupt the strict program at a mental hospital. Confronted by head Nurse Ratched, McMurphy uses insubordination as his weapon in an attempt to overthrow her tyrannical ways. Patients watch in awe and terror as the two battle each other for control. A powerful exploration of the danger and beauty of being an original.
