WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Philip Seymour Hoffman directs Stephen Adly Guirgis' Jesus Hopped the A Train, a two-act prison-courtroom-comic drama. In Riker's for murdering the cult leader who stole his best friend, a young man fights his lawyer and a religious zealot prisoner?first for his identity, then for vindication. Freedom is juxtaposed with responsibilities of spiritual rebirth. John Ortiz stars in the LAByrinth Theater Company's production, which transfers to the Arts Theatre after a sold-out run at the Donmar Warehouse.
