BBC Radio 2 presents a special gala celebrating one of the all time greats of musical theatre - Jerry Herman. John Barrowman hosts this once in a lifetime event, with guest stars from the West End and Broadway including: Maria Friedman, Donald Pippin, Debbie Gravitte, the Capital Voices and in a unique UK appearance - Jerry Herman himself. Join the seventy piece BBC Concert Orchestra, conducted by Larry Blank, in this tribute to the multi-award winning composer and lyricist. Featuring music from Jerry's major musicals including: Hello Dolly, Mack and Mabel, Mame, Milk and Honey, and La Cage Aux Folles, and songs including: 'I Won't Send Roses', 'I Am What I Am', 'The Best Of Times', 'Put On Your Sunday Clothes', 'Tap Your Troubles Away', 'Before the Parade Passes By' and 'Hello Dolly'.
