Direct from New York, and making its London debut, Greenwich Theatre is proud to welcome Elephant, a visually stunning and exciting piece of theatre. Chief Zanenvula, a good man and respected chief of his tribe, has been refused entry into heaven. Distraught and uncomprehending he calls on his ancestors to find the answer. Told to look back at his past, the Chief reviews his life and actions and slowly understands how he has offended the spirit of Africa. What did he do and how can he redeem himself? Elephant is a spectacularly visual feast for all the family celebrating the universal themes of forgiveness and humanity or "Ubuntu". Performers from the UK and South Africa come together in a multi-talented company of actors, dancers, puppeteers, storytellers and musicians.
