Acclaimed Old Vic Revival of The Crucible, Starring Richard Armitage, Released by Digital Theatre

Armitage plays John Proctor in Yaël Farber’s sold-out production of Arthur Miller’s classic drama.

Yaël Farber's acclaimed and sold-out production of Arthur Miller's The Crucible, which ran last summer at London's Old Vic Theatre, will be released worldwide via Digital Theatre on March 17. The drama stars Richard Armitage (The Hobbit Trilogy) as Miller's conflicted protagonist, John Proctor.

The production will be available to rent and download on Digital Theatre's website, as well as watch online using platforms including the Digital Theatre Desktop Player, Digital Theatre's YouView channel, and apps for Samsung Smart TV and Apple's iOS.

Along with Armitage, the cast of The Crucible includes Harry Attwell (Thomas Putnam), Samantha Colley (Abigail Williams), Anna Madeley (Elizabeth Proctor), Marama Corlett, Jack Ellis, Ann Firbank, William Gaunt, Natalie Gavin, Christopher Godwin, Catherine Hammond, Hannah Hutch, Lauren Lyle, Anna Madeley, Paddy Navin, Sarah Niles, Tom Peters, Rebecca Saire, Neil Salvage, Adrian Schiller, Michael Thomas, Alan Vicary, Daisy Waterstone, Matt Weyland, and Zara White.

The creative team includes Soutra Gilmour (scenic and costume design), Tim Lutkin (lighting design), Richard Hammarton (music and sound design), and Imogen Knight (movement).
