It's Only a Play Alum Megan Mullally Joins the Cast of Apocalypse Slough

The end-of-world series will air on NBC later this year.

Megan Mullally, who recently departed the Broadway cast of It's Only a Play, has been added to the cast of the new 10-part television series Apocalypse Slough, a co-commission by NBC and the U.K.'s Sky1.

The comedy-drama stars Rob Lowe as Father Jude, the Vatican’s most rebellious priest. He finds himself among a group of people hiding beneath the town of Slough, about 20 miles west of London, to watch the end of the world on TV as an eight-mile-wide comet prepares to wipe out all life on Earth.

The cast will also include Jenna Fischer (The Office), Mathew Baynton (Yonderland), Pauline Quirke (Broadchurch), Patterson Joseph (Babylon), and Joel Fry (Game Of Thrones).

Directed by Emmy nominee Michael Engler (30 Rock) and created and written by Iain Hollands (Beaver Falls), the show is scheduled to premiere late this year.
