It's a banner year for Tony Award winner James Corden (One Man, Two Guvnors). Not only is he the star of Disney's Into the Woods (opening in theaters tomorrow) and the successor to Craig Ferguson as host of CBS' Late Late Show, but the actor will ring in the New Year with official recognition by the Queen.

In a royal turn of events, Corden has been officially added to the United Kingdom's New Year Honors list, set to be made an OBE (Order of the British Empire) for his services to entertainment and charity. In addition to his success in both the British and American entertainment industries, Corden is well known for his work with Comic Relief, a UK-based charity focused on ending poverty and social injustice.

2014 will be difficult to top for Corden, but you never know…An Oscar nod could always be on the horizon.
