Lin-Manuel Miranda's Hamilton Sets Casting for London Premiere

Principal casting is set for the upcoming London premiere of Lin-Manuel Miranda's Hamilton. The musical will reopen the Victoria Palace Theatre, currently undergoing renovation, beginning November 21, with opening night set for December 7.
In alphabetical order, the company will be headed by Christine Allado (Peggy Schuyler, Maria Reynolds), Rachelle Ann Go (Eliza Hamilton), Tarinn Callender (Hercules Mulligan, James Madison), Rachel John (Angelica Schuyler), Jason Pennycooke (Marquis de Lafayette, Thomas Jefferson), Cleve September (John Laurens, Philip Hamilton), Giles Terera (Aaron Burr), and Obioma Ugoala (George Washington). Casting for the roles of Alexander Hamilton and King George III, as well as the full ensemble, will be announced in the coming months.
Directed by Thomas Kail and inspired by Ron Chernow's biography Alexander Hamilton, Hamilton explores the life of the American founding father and first Secretary of the Treasury, as well as his experiences as an orphan from the British West Indies who immigrated to the 13 Colonies and helped shape the United States of America. It began Broadway previews July 13, with opening night on August 6 at the Richard Rodgers Theatre. Hamilton had its world premiere at the Public Theater.
Cameron Mackintosh and Jeffrey Seller produce the London premiere of Miranda's musical, the recipient of the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and the 2016 Tony Award for Best Musical. Go will make her Broadway debut this March in the upcoming revival of Miss Saigon, also produced by Mackintosh. She will stay with the production until August before departing for Hamilton.
