The Lyric Hammersmith’s has announced additional details for its 2012 season, according to WhatsOnStage.com.

Emma Rice will direct Spymonkey’s Oedipussy, a subversive retelling of the Greek tragedy, as written by Carl Grose, to run April 11-21.

Playwright Edward Bond will direct The Under Room and Chair, two of the pieces in a repertory of his short works under the umbrella title, Chair Plays. Sean Holmes will direct a third, Have I None, with the dates for the repertory running April 19-May 26.

Matthew Dunster will direct Vivienne Franzmann’s Mogadishu, which comes to the theater March 27-31 as part of a UK tour. Matthew Dunster’s production is co-produced with the Royal Exchange, Manchester. The piece is inspired by Franzmann’s time working as a teacher in inner-city schools.

Previously announced works in the season include Frantic Assembly’s Lovesong (January 12-28), written by Abi Morgan; Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream (February 16-March 17), as “remixed” by Ferdy Roberts and Ollie Dimsdale; and Simon Stephens’ Three Kingdoms (May 8-19), directed by Sebastian Nubling as part of World Stages London.
