Charlotte Emmerson, Iain Glen Set for Uncle Vanya at London’s The Print Room
Real life husband-and-wife Iain Glen and Charlotte Emmerson will star in Mike Poulton’s adaptation of Anton Chekhov’s Uncle Vanya, to run March 29 – April 28 at The Print Room, according to a report onWhatsonstage.com. Lucy Bailey will direct the production.
Glen’s theater credits include Ghost, The Crucible, Hedda Gabler, and A Streetcar Named Desire, among others. Among his recent television credits are Downton Abbey and Game of Thrones.
Emmerson’s many stage credits include The Seagull, The Postman Always Rings Twice, Coast of Utopia, and The Cherry Orchard.
Uncle Vanya explores what happens on a provincial Russian estate when family patriarch visits with his beautiful, and younger, wife. Additional casting will be announced shortly.
