Delroy Atkinson, Gina Murray, et al. Set for London Run of Jihad! The Musical

Olivier Award winner Delroy Atkinson and West End regular Gina Murray will be featured in Jihad! The Musical, to be presented by Seabright Productions at the Jermyn Street Theatre, January 8-February 6. Gordon Greenberg will direct.

The musical, which premiered at the 2007 Edinburgh Fringe, will be presented in an extended and updated version. It features a book by Zoe Samuel, music by Benjamin Scheuer, and lyrics by Samuel and Scheuer. The satirical romp follows an innocent young boy from the streets of Jalalabad to the West. Targeted by an American reporter looking to create her own TV-ready terrorist, he soon finds himself in the midst an actual sleeper cell run by a flamboyantly inept cast of characters.

The cast also includes Tara Carrozza, Richard David-Caine, Yannick Fernandes, and Sorab Wadia. The production will feature musical direction by Elliot Davis, choreography by Nick Winston, design by Lucy Bradridge, and lighting by Mike Robertson.
