Josefina Gabrielle, Ramon Tikaram, et al. Set for The King and I U.K. Tour

Casting has been announced for a U.K. tour of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s The King and I, which will launch with an engagement at the Edinburgh Festival Theatre, running December 14 – January 7, according to a report on Whatsonstage.com. Paul Kerryson will direct the production.


The musical centers on the meeting of East and West when the King of Siam welcomes Anna, an Englishwoman, to his court to tutor his children.

The company will feature Ramon Tikaram as The King and Josefina Gabrielle as Anna, along with Claire-Marie Hall (Tup-Tim), Adrian Li Donni (Lun-tha), Maya Sapone (Lady Thiang), Nicholas Goh (Kralahome), and Gary Wood (Prince Choulalonghorn).

The ensemble will include Craig Turbyfield, Rowan Lewis Mitchell, Aiko Kato, Makato Leahy, Charlotte Humphrey, Naomi Bailie, Farrah Hussain, Kaho Uchida, Misa Koide, Adam Denman, Matthew Cheney, Lori Hayley Fox and Yuki Ikezawa.

Additional tour venues include Llandudno Venue Cymru, Sheffield Lyceum, Newcastle Theatre Royal, Belfast Grand Opera House, Belfast Grand Opera House, Northampton Royal & Derngate, New Theatre Oxford, The Lowry Salford, Nottingham Theatre Royal, Cheltenham Everyman, Cardiff New Theatre, Southampton Mayflower, Wolverhampton Grand Theatre, Liverpool Empire, Plymouth Theatre Royal, Woking New Victoria, Birmingham Hippodrome, Leicester Curve, Bradford Alhambra and Dublin Grand Canal.
