The U.K. tour of Big The Musical, which was to have begun with an engagement running February 14-26 at the Liverpool Empire, has been postponed, according to a report on Whatsonstage.com. As previously reported, Ian Talbot had been announced as director of the production and Tom Chambers had been announced as its star.

Based on the movie Big, the show, which has music by David Shire, lyrics by Richard Maltby, Jr., and a book by John Weidman, focuses on on Josh, a frustrated adolescent who wishes he was “big” and wakes up the next morning as a 30-year-old man. But, when he discovers there is more to being an adult than he realized, he soon finds himself wishing to be young again.

Chambers won the sixth series of Strictly Come Dancing with partner Camilla Dallerup. His other television credits include Holby City and Waterloo Road.
