Marti Pellow Set for Jekyll & Hyde U.K. Tour

Marti Pellow will headline a U.K. tour of Frank Wildhorn and Leslie Bricusse’s Jekyll & Hyde, which will launch with an engagement at the Churchill Theatre in Bromley January 20-29, according to a report on Whatsonstage.com.

The tour is also expected to play engagements in Wimbledon, Dublin, Aberdeen, Manchester, Southampton, Birmingham, Bradford, Sheffield, Bristol, Liverpool, Stoke-on-Trent, Tunbridge Wells, Norwich, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Milton Keynes, and Woking. In addition, the production will play a short run in Abu Dhabi before a final engagement in Leeds in July.

Pellow’s career began in the band Wet Wet Wet, which generated 12 British Top Ten singles, including “Love Is All Around.” On stage he has been seen in The Witches of Eastwick, the anniversary concert of Chess, and Chicago, in which he played Billy Flynn, both on Broadway and in the West End.

The musical is based on Robert Louis Stevenson’s gothic tale about a doctor whose fight with his inner self unleashes the horror of his darkest desires on the streets of 19th-century London.
