Stephen Daldry’s An Inspector Calls to Transer to Wyndham’s Theatre

Stephen Daldry‘s award-winning revival of J.B. Priestley’s An Inspector Calls will transfer to the West End Wyndham’s Theatre on December 3 for a three-month run. The production is currently playing at the Novello Theatre, where it will run through November 14.

The play centers on the comfortable and complacent middle class world of the Birling family, which is thrown into chaos when a mysterious police inspector arrives at the family home one night to enquire about the death of a young local girl.

The cast includes Nicholas Woodeson, David Roper, Sandra Duncan, Marianne Oldham, Robin Whiting, Timothy Watson, and Diana Payne Myers. The production is designed by Ian MacNeil with lighting by Rick Fisher and music by Stephen Warbeck.

Currently at Wyndham’s is the new stage adaptation of Stephen King’s 1982 novella The Shawshank Redemption, which stars Kevin Anderson and Reg E Cathey and which will close on November 29.
