Pride and Prejudice, The Winter’s Tale Added to Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre Season

Pride and Prejudice and a re-imagined The Winter’s Tale will join the previously announced To Kill a Mockingbird and The Sound of Music to complete London’s Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre’s 2013 season.

Artistic director Timothy Sheader will direct Christopher Sergel’s adaptation of Harper Lee’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel To Kill a Mockingbird, set to run May 16-June 15.

Jane Austin’s Pride and Prejudice, adapted by Simon Reade, will be performed June 20-July 20. Shakespeare’s Winter’s Tale, created for children ages six and up, is set for June 29-July 20.

Rachel Kavanaugh’s production of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II’s The Sound of Music closes the season from July 25 to September 7. The musical features choreography by Alistair David, and scenic and costume design by Peter McKintosh.
