Susan Boyle to Join I Dreamed a Dream U.K. Tour

Susan Boyle will join the previously announced Elaine C. Smith, in the musical based on Boyle’s life, I Dreamed a Dream, when it launches a U.K. tour at Newcastle’s Theatre Royal, running March 23-31.

Additional tour dates include His Majesty’s Theatre in Aberdeen (April 3-7), the Alhambra Theatre in Bradford (April 10-14), the Empire in Liverpool (April 17-21), the Grand Canal Theatre in Dublin (April 24-28), the Hippodrome in Bristol (May 1-5), Cliffs Pavilion in Southend (May 8-12), the New Theatre in Cardiff (May 22-26), the Hippodrome in Birmingham (May 29 – June 2), Eden Court in Inverness (June 11-16) and the Palace Theatre in Manchester (June 19-23).

Boyle rose to fame with her appearances on the reality series Britain’s Got Talent, which included a performance of the song “I Dreamed a Dream” from Les Miserables. Since that time, she has released two solo albums, selling over 14 million copies.

Smith may be best known for her work on such television series as City Lights, Naked Video, and Rab C.Nesbitt. Her stage credits include Guys and Dolls and Shirley Valentine.
