Gillian Bevan, Deka Walmsley, et al. to Join London Cast of Billy Elliot the Musical

Updated casting has been announced for Billy Elliot the Musical, playing at the West End’s Victoria Palace Theatre.

As of November 14, the role of Billy will be played by Ryan Collinson, Josh Baker, and Adam Vesperman. The other principals in the company will be Gillian Bevan (Mrs. Wilkinson), Deka Walmsley (Dad), Michael Peavoy (Tony), Ann Emery (Grandma), Sean Kearns (George), Kay Milbourne (Dead Mum), Simon Ray Harvey (Mr. Braithwaite), Barnaby Meredith (Older Billy).

In addition, Reece Barrett, Connor Kelly, Connor Lawson and Joe Massey will alternate the role of Billy’s best friend Michael; and Francesca Mango and Emily Williams will alternate the role of Debbie.

The ensemble will include Craig Armstrong, David Bardsley, Romy Baskerville, Paul Basleigh, James Butcher, Spencer Cartwright, Jaymz Denning, Caroline Deverill, Helen French, Sergio Giacomelli, Kieran Jae, Connor McAllister, Steve Paget, Ryan Pidgen, and Dan Reilly and swings Alan Bradshaw, Dawn Buckland, Lucinda Collins, Ian Gareth Jones and Mike Scott.

Based on the 2000 film of the same name, the show tells the tale of a young boy with a dream of being a dancer. The musical features music by Elton John, book and lyrics by Lee Hall, direction by Stephen Daldry, and choreography by Peter Darling.
