Tom Chambers to Star in U.K. Tour of Big, the Musical; Ian Talbot Will Direct

Tom Chambers will play Josh Baskin in Big The Musical, to run February 14-26 at the Liverpool Empire, according to a report on Whatsonstage.com. Ian Talbot will direct the production, which will tour the U.K. after its engagement in Liverpool.

Based on the movie Big, the show, which has music by David Shire, lyrics by Richard Maltby, Jr., and a book by John Weidman, focuses on on Josh, a frustrated adolescent who wishes he was “big” and wakes up the next morning as a 30-year-old man. But, when he discovers there is more to being an adult than he realized, he soon finds himself wishing to be young again. Additional casting will be announced at a later date.

Chambers won the sixth series of Strictly Come Dancing with partner Camilla Dallerup. His other television credits include Holby City and Waterloo Road.
