Original London Cast Recording of Mutiny!, with David Essex, Frank Finaly, Sinitta, et al. to Be Released on CD

The original London cast recording of Mutiny! will be released on CD by Stage Door Records on November 15. The show features music by David Essex and a book and lyrics by Richard Crane.

The 16-track disc features the original company that starred Essex, Frank Finlay and Sinitta, along with Nicola Blackman, Patrick Clancy, Shaun Curry, Anthony Johncock, Frank Olegario, and Simon Packham. The entire recording has been remastered from the original master tape.

The piece is based on actual events that transpired on the ship The Bounty when its crew rose up against its captain. Mutiny! was originally recorded as a concept album, which produced the hit singles “Tahiti” and “Falling Angels Riding.” It was later produced at the West End’s Piccadilly Theatre in 1985.
