Emma Williams, Michael Xavier, et al. Set for West End Musical Love Story

Complete casting has been announced for the West End transfer of the musical Love Story, to begin previews on November 27 at the Duchess Theatre. The official opening will be December 6. Rachel Kavanaugh, who directed the piece earlier this year at the Chichester Festival Theatre, will once again stage the work, which will have musical direction by Stephen Ridley and musical staging by Lizzi Gee.

The show, based on Erich Segal’s novel of the same name, features music and lyrics by Howard Goodall, and book and lyrics by Stephen Clark. It focuses on a man and a woman who fall in love despite the differences in their backgrounds.

The cast will feature original company members Emma Williams (Jenny), Michael Xavier (Oliver), and Peter Polycarpou (Phil), as well as Richard Cordery, Gary Milner, Paul Kemble, Lillie Flynn, Christopher Killick, Jamie Muscato, and Rebecca Trehearn.

The creative team will include Peter McKintosh (production design), Howard Harrison (lighting design), and Matt McKenzie (sound design).
