Royal Philharrmonic Concert Orchestra to Accompany London West Side Story Screenings

The Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra will accompany screenings of the multi-Academy Award-winning film West Side Story at the Royal Albert Hall, June 22-24. Jayce Ogren will conduct the performances.

Feature music by Leonard Bernstein and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, West Side Story is a modern retelling of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet.

The film’s cast features Natalie Wood as Maria, Richard Beymer as Tony, Rita Moreno as Anita, and George Chakiris as Bernardo. Moreno and Chakiris won Oscars for their performances.
