Paul Kieve to Provide Illusions for Menier Chocolate Factory’s The Invisible Man

Paul Kieve will provide illusions for the Menier Chocolate Factory production of Ken Hill’s The Invisible Man, to run November 12 – February 13. Ian Talbot will direct the piece, which retells H.G. Wells’ classic in a music hall environment.

Talbot’s other credits include such productions at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre as High Society, Lady Be Good, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and The Boy Friend. He is currently directing Lend Me a Tenor, which will open at the Theatre Royal in Plymouth followed by a West End run.

Stage and screen illusionist Paul Kieve’s many theater credits include The Lord of the Rings, The Witches of Eastwick, Our House, Theatre of Blood , and Scrooge, as well as the original production of The Invisible Man at the Theatre Royal Stratford East. In addition, he is a consultant to Derren Brown and David Copperfield and is a member of the Magic Circle.

The creative team will also include scenic designer Paul Farnsworth, costume designer Matthew Wright, lighting designer Jason Taylor, and sound designer Gareth Owen. Steve Edis will provide original music and Sam Spencer-Lane will choreograph.
