Danny Boyle to Be Honored at London Fiilm Festival

Oscar winner Danny Boyle will receive a BFI Fellowship, the organization’s highest accolade, on October 27 during the BFI London Film Festival awards ceremony, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The honor is given to individuals whose body of work has made an outstanding contribution to film culture.

Boyle will direct Frankenstein next year at the National Theatre, and he will also contribute to the 2012 Olympics. He won the Oscar for Slumndog Millionaire and his new film 127 Hours will close the London Film Festival.
