Jessica Hynes, Charlotte Riley, Samuel West, Ben Whishaw, et al. Set for Royal Court Season

The Royal Court has announced additional casting details for its upcoming season.

As previously announced, the Royal Court season opens in the Jerwood Downstairs Theatre with Rupert Goold’s critically acclaimed production of Lucy Prebble’s ENRON (September 17-November 7), featuring Gillian Budd, Peter Caulfield, Howard Charles, Andrew Corbett, Amanda Drew, Susannah Fellows, Stephen Fewell, Tom Godwin, Tom Goodman-Hill, Orion Lee, Eleanor Matsuura, Tim Pigott-Smith, Ashley Rolfe, Samuel West, and Trevor White.

It will be followed by Michael Wynne’s The Priory, directed by Jeremy Herrin (November 19-January 9). The play focuses on a group of successful thirty-somethings who retreat to a converted rural priory to celebrate New Year.Charlotte Riley and Alistair Mackenzie will join 2009 Tony Award nominee Jessica Hynes and Rachael Stirling in the show

In the Upstairs Theatre, the season will begin with Tim Crouch’s The Author, (September 23-October 24), to be directed by Karl James and A Smith, and starring Crouch, Adrian Howells, Vic Llewellyn, and Esther Smith.

Up next Ben Whishaw and Andrew Scott will star in Make Bartlett’s Cock (November 13-December 19), directed by James Macdonald, which centers on a young man who must choose between his ex-boyfriend and “the woman of his dreams.”
