Antony Sher Set for Sheffield Crucible’s An Enemy of the People

Antony Sher will star in a production of Henrik Ibsen’s An Enemy of the People, translated by Christopher Hampton, to run February 11-March 20 at the newly renovated Sheffield Crucible. Olivier Award winner Daniel Evans will direct the production.

The theater’s 2010 season will include Sam Shepard’s True West, directed by Paul Miller (May 13-June 15), and Lyndsey Turner’s staging of Laura Wade’s Alice (June 17-July 24). The company will also produce Stephanie Street’s Sisters (March 11-27), Roy Williams’ children’s play There’s Only One Wayne Matthews (March 3- April 2), and Polly Stenham’s award-winning play That Face (July 1-24) in its studio space.
