Andrew Lloyd Webber Plans Wizard of Oz Television Talent Search

Andrew Lloyd Webber has confirmed that he plans a TV talent search to cast the roles of Dorothy and Toto in a new West End production of The Wizard of Oz. The BBC series, which will air in 2010, will be hosted by Graham Norton. Judges for the series will be announced at a later date.

It is expected that the new production of The Wizard of Oz will be produced in the West End in 2010 by Lloyd Webber’s Really Useful Group. The company is also producing Love Never Dies, the composer’s sequel to The Phantom of the Opera.
